Private transfers to and from Plovdiv

Plovdiv is Bulgaria's second-largest city and one of the busiest starting points for travel in the country. Every day people leave from here for Sofia Airport, the Black Sea coast, the Rhodope Mountains and the neighbouring countries. How to book your Plovdiv transfer

3. Get your confirmation. Our operator confirms the time, the pick-up point and the type of car.
4. Sit back and ride. The driver collects you and drops you at the door. You pay at the end.

Plovdiv to Sofia Airport: our most popular route

The transfer between Plovdiv and Sofia Airport is the route we drive more than any other. It runs along the Trakia motorway and is about 145 km, around 1 h 45 min depending on traffic. Central Sofia is about 150 km away, also around 1 h 45 min. We cover it in both directions, at any hour of the day or night.

Many people in Plovdiv fly from Sofia because it offers far more flights and destinations. Instead of taking a coach to the capital and then hunting for a ride to the terminal, your driver picks you up at home and drops you right outside Terminal 1 or Terminal 2. On the way back, the driver waits for you at the airport and takes you straight to your address in Plovdiv.

Plovdiv Airport

Plovdiv also has its own airport, smaller than Sofia's. It lies about 20 km from the city, around 25 minutes by car. If you are landing there, book your transfer in advance so a driver is ready the moment you walk out of the terminal.

From Plovdiv Airport we drive to addresses in the city, to Pamporovo and the Rhodopes, to the seaside and to other towns across Bulgaria. We track these flights too, so if you are delayed the driver simply waits, free of charge.

From Plovdiv to the mountains

Plovdiv is a handy base for the winter resorts. Pamporovo is the closest ski resort, about 85 km away, around 1 h 45 min through the Rhodopes. Bansko is about 150 km, around 2 h 30 min, and Borovets is about 125 km, around 2 h.

All year round we also drive to Velingrad, Devin, Smolyan and Asenovgrad, popular for mineral-spring breaks and days out in the countryside. If you are carrying skis, a snowboard or lots of luggage, mention it when you book and we will send a minivan.

To the seaside and abroad

In summer many families from Plovdiv head for the Black Sea. Burgas is about 255 km, around 2 h 45 min; Sunny Beach and Sozopol are about 290 km; and Varna is about 380 km, around 4 h 45 min. See also our Burgas transfers.

Who travels with us from Plovdiv

We drive students heading home with suitcases at the start and end of term, people commuting to Sofia for work, visitors to the big trade shows at the Plovdiv International Fair, and tourists who come to see the Old Town, the Roman theatre and the Kapana creative district. We also drive families meeting relatives from abroad at the airport.

You can also hire a car with a driver for a few hours or a full day. It works well for a string of business meetings, a wedding, a prom night or a day out in the area, for example to Bachkovo Monastery or Hisarya. The driver waits between stops, and you never have to think about parking.

Prices and payment

The price is fixed and covers the whole car. It does not go up because of motorway traffic or waiting time at the airport. If there are three or four of you, you share one fare instead of each buying a ticket. The table above loads straight from our price list, so the price you see is always current.
