Nis Airport transfers to and from Bulgaria

From Sofia the road runs north-west through Dragoman and the Kalotina border crossing, then on through Pirot and Bela Palanka. These are approximate distances to Nis:

The Serbian border and your documents

On the way to Nis you cross the border between Bulgaria and Serbia, usually at Kalotina. Serbia is outside the European Union, so there are passport and customs checks both going and coming back. How long they take depends on the day, the time and the season, which is why we always leave with time to spare when you have a flight.

Every passenger must carry a valid travel document: an ID card or a passport, depending on nationality. This applies to children too. Citizens of non-EU countries should check in advance whether they need a visa for Serbia.

How to book

1. Write to us for a fixed price. Nis has no ready-made price in the table. Tell us where you are starting from, the date, your flight time and how many of you there are, on WhatsApp, Viber or Telegram.
2. Confirm your booking. Fill in a booking from an address for the trip to the airport, or a booking from an airport to be met on arrival. You can also phone us.
3. Get your confirmation with the time, the place and the car.
4. Pay the driver after the ride. No prepayment.

If you fly out and back via Nis, book both transfers at once, so both directions are sorted before you leave.

Meeting you on arrival

We track your flight in real time. If your plane is late, the driver waits for you with no time limit and at no extra cost, and you do not need to call us. Once you walk out of the terminal you head straight for Bulgaria, with no hunting for a taxi or a bus in an unfamiliar city.

When it gets busiest

Summer and the holidays are the busiest times. That is when many Bulgarians living abroad come home, and tourists land in Nis and carry on to the coast: Burgas, Varna and the resorts. In winter some skiers choose a cheap flight to Nis and a transfer to Borovets or Bansko. Around the start and end of the academic year, students travel with lots of luggage.
