Private transfers to and from Bansko

Bansko sits at the foot of the Pirin mountains and is one of the most popular ski resorts in Bulgaria. Most visitors fly into Sofia or Plovdiv and still have a two- or three-hour drive ahead of them. Sofia Airport to Bansko

Sofia Airport is the closest major airport to Bansko. The trip is about 155 km and takes around 2 h 15 min in normal conditions. Plovdiv and Plovdiv Airport to Bansko

Some winter charter flights land at Plovdiv Airport. From Plovdiv to Bansko it is about 150 km, a drive of around 2 h 30 min. Part of the route runs through the mountains, so leave yourself a little spare time if you have a dinner booking that evening or ski school first thing the next morning. Skis, snowboards and luggage

Ski bags and snowboards take up a lot of space, and they rarely fit well in a sedan when four people also have suitcases. So when you book, tell us how many pairs of skis or boards you are bringing, and we will send the right car:

• Sedan – up to 4 passengers, good for a couple with light luggage.
• Minivan – up to 6 passengers, with more room for ski bags and boots.
• Minibus – up to 8 passengers, ideal for a group of friends or a ski club.
• More than 8 people – message us and we will suggest a bus or several cars.

Our group runs around 200 sedans, 50 minivans, around 100 buses and around 20 luxury Mercedes S-Class and E-Class cars. That is why, even in the busiest weeks of the season around Christmas, New Year and the winter school holidays, we can usually find a car for a larger ski group or a company trip.

The price is for the whole car, not per person. For a group of six or eight, it often works out cheaper than bus tickets, and there is no change of bus in Sofia and no dragging skis between stops.

Winter driving to Bansko

In winter the road from Razlog up to Bansko can be covered in snow, and on Fridays and Saturdays in the season there is more traffic. The drive sometimes takes longer than usual. The price, however, is fixed and does not change because of snow, traffic or slower driving. When you book your return to the airport, we recommend leaving extra time before your flight, especially on days of heavy snowfall.

If your flight home leaves early in the morning, book the transfer the day before. We work 24/7, so a departure in the middle of the night is no problem.

Bansko in summer and the surrounding area

Bansko is not only a winter resort. In summer people come for walks in the Pirin mountains, the old town and a quiet, cooler holiday. We also drive to nearby Razlog and Dobrinishte, and between resorts. Velingrad is about 75 km from Bansko, around 1 h 25 min, so you can easily combine skiing with a few days in a mineral pool. If you want to explore the area, you can hire a car with a driver for a few hours or a full day. The driver waits while you look around and then takes you back to your hotel.
