How long is the drive from Sofia to Burgas?
About 4 h 15 min. The car joins the Trakia motorway at the edge of Sofia and stays on it past Plovdiv and Stara Zagora almost to the centre of Burgas. On a long trip like this the driver stops for a short break at a petrol station on the motorway when you want one, and you can ask for more stops at any time.
Taxi, bus, train or plane?
Buses and trains between Sofia and Burgas are cheaper per seat, but they leave at fixed times from the central stations, and the train takes longer than the car. There are also flights. A taxi is the better choice when you are a family or a group, when you have a lot of luggage, when you land at Sofia Airport and want to go straight to the sea, or when you need to arrive at a hotel and not at a station. With four people in a sedan the price per person gets close to a bus ticket, and you go door to door.
Where does the driver meet me?
At an address the driver comes to the door and waits up to 15 minutes. At the airport the driver meets you in the arrivals hall; at Sofia Airport that is Terminal 1 or Terminal 2. Send us your flight number when you book: we follow the flight, and if it lands late, the driver waits without a time limit and you pay nothing extra for the waiting. Which car do I need?
A sedan takes up to 4 passengers. A minivan takes up to 6 passengers plus the driver, depending on the luggage, and it also works as a car with a very large boot for skis, prams or many suitcases. A minibus takes up to 8. For bigger groups we send a bus, price on request. Our fleet has about 200 sedans, 50 minivans and 100 minibuses, so we can usually take a booking even at short notice.
Child seats are free: infant carrier, child seat or booster. Tell us the age of the children and we put the right seats in the car.
How do I pay?
You pay the driver at the end of the trip. There is no prepayment and no booking fee. The price you get when you book is the price you pay, for the whole car, not per person.
