How long is the drive from Sofia to Pazardzhik?
About 1 h 30 min. From a Sofia address or from Sofia Airport the car takes the ring road to the start of the Trakia motorway and stays on it past Vakarel and Ihtiman, through the low pass at Trayanovi Vrata and down into the Thracian plain. Pazardzhik is the first big town after the mountains; the car leaves the motorway at the Pazardzhik exit and takes you to the address in the town or in a nearby village. On Friday afternoons and Sunday evenings the motorway near Sofia is busier, so allow a little more time if you have to be somewhere at a fixed hour.
How far is Pazardzhik from Plovdiv?
About 40 km, and our price list counts about 1 h door to door, including the drive across Plovdiv. The driver takes the motorway or the old road along the Maritsa, whichever is quicker at that time of day. A sedan costs €50, a minivan €60 and a minibus €70. If you fly from Plovdiv Airport, the price from and to the airport is the same as from Plovdiv.
Pazardzhik to Sofia Airport: when should I leave?
Count about 1 h 30 min on the road and then add the time your airline asks you to be at the airport before the flight. For early morning flights we pick up at night: we work 24 hours, and the price does not change at night or on holidays. Tell us the flight time and the terminal when you book, and we suggest a pick-up time. The car drops you at the departures entrance of Terminal 1 or Terminal 2.
Taxi, bus or train?
Buses and trains run between Sofia, Pazardzhik and Plovdiv and are cheaper per seat. They leave at fixed times from the stations, and from Sofia Airport you first have to get into the city to catch them. A transfer is the better choice when you land late, when you travel with children or a lot of luggage, when you are three or four people, or when you need to reach an address and not a station. With four people in a sedan the price per person gets close to the cost of a ticket plus the taxi to and from the station, and you go door to door.
Which car do I need?
A sedan takes up to 4 passengers with normal luggage. A minivan takes up to 6, and it is also the right car for 4 people with skis, bikes, a pram or many suitcases. A minibus takes up to 8. Can I bring skis or a dog?
Skis, snowboards and sports bags: yes, tell us when you book so we send a car with enough space; with skis, four people need a minivan. Travelling with a dog or a cat: tell us when you book, how big the pet is and whether it travels in a carrier, and we confirm the right car before the trip.
Where does the driver meet me?
At an address the driver comes to the door and waits up to 15 minutes. At Sofia Airport the driver meets you in the arrivals hall of your terminal. Send us your flight number when you book: we follow the flight, and if it lands late, the driver waits without a time limit and you pay nothing extra for the waiting.
