Which border crossing?

The car takes the Trakia motorway past Plovdiv, then the road to Svilengrad and the Kapitan Andreevo border crossing with Turkey (Kapıkule on the Turkish side). From there it goes on the motorway past Edirne to Istanbul. Our price list gives the price to Istanbul New Airport; to an address in the city we confirm the price when you book. Queues at Kapitan Andreevo can be long in the summer and on holidays, so plan extra time if you have a flight to catch.

What documents do I need?

Every passenger needs a valid passport. Whether you need a visa for Turkey depends on your citizenship, so check it before the trip. Children need their own documents too.

Taxi, bus or flight?

There are buses from Sofia to Istanbul, and flights, but the bus leaves at fixed times from the central bus station, and a flight means getting to the airport early, check-in and another transfer at the other end. A taxi leaves from your door when it suits you, goes through the border with you and stops at your hotel or at the airport terminal. For three or four people the price per person is close to a bus ticket. On the way the driver stops for a coffee or a short break whenever you ask.

Where does the driver meet me?

At an address the driver comes to the door and waits up to 15 minutes. At the airport the driver meets you in the arrivals hall; at Sofia Airport that is Terminal 1 or Terminal 2. Send us your flight number when you book: we follow the flight, and if it lands late, the driver waits without a time limit and you pay nothing extra for the waiting. Before the trip you get the driver's phone number.

Which car do I need?

A sedan takes up to 4 passengers. A minivan takes up to 6 passengers plus the driver, depending on the luggage, and it also works as a car with a very large boot for skis, prams or many suitcases. A minibus takes up to 8. For bigger groups we send a bus, price on request. Our fleet has about 200 sedans, 50 minivans and 100 minibuses, so we can usually take a booking even at short notice.

Child seats are free: infant carrier, child seat or booster. Tell us the age of the children and we put the right seats in the car.

How do I pay?

You pay the driver at the end of the trip. There is no prepayment and no booking fee. The price you get when you book is the price you pay, for the whole car, not per person.
