How long is the drive from Plovdiv to the sea?

From Plovdiv the car takes the Trakia motorway east towards Stara Zagora and Burgas. Burgas is about 255 km and 2 h 45 min. The resorts north of Burgas (Pomorie, Sunny Beach, Sveti Vlas) and south of it (Sozopol, Primorsko) add another short stretch along the coast road. Sunny Beach is about 290 km and 3 h 15 min from Plovdiv.

Why go by taxi to the coast

In summer the buses from Plovdiv to the sea are full and leave at fixed times, and from the bus station in Burgas you still need a taxi to your hotel in Sunny Beach or Sozopol. With a private taxi you leave from your door when it suits you, with all your luggage, beach bags and the pram in the boot, and the car stops in front of your hotel or apartment. For a family of four the price per person is close to bus tickets plus a taxi from Burgas.

Where does the driver meet me?

At an address the driver comes to the door and waits up to 15 minutes. At the airport the driver meets you in the arrivals hall; at Sofia Airport that is Terminal 1 or Terminal 2. Send us your flight number when you book: we follow the flight, and if it lands late, the driver waits without a time limit and you pay nothing extra for the waiting. Before the trip you get the driver's phone number.

Which car do I need?

A sedan takes up to 4 passengers. A minivan takes up to 6 passengers plus the driver, depending on the luggage, and it also works as a car with a very large boot for skis, prams or many suitcases. A minibus takes up to 8. For bigger groups we send a bus, price on request. Our fleet has about 200 sedans, 50 minivans and 100 minibuses, so we can usually take a booking even at short notice.

Child seats are free: infant carrier, child seat or booster. Tell us the age of the children and we put the right seats in the car.

How do I pay?

You pay the driver at the end of the trip. There is no prepayment and no booking fee. The price you get when you book is the price you pay, for the whole car, not per person.
